In a earlier blog I talked about the advantages that Swedes
have over Americans. It is true that everybody has their own sets of strengths
and weaknesses. So I thought I would write a little bit on the advantages that
I believe Americans would have over the Swedish people. It is very true
that if you become friends with the swede they will be the very best type of
friends you can have, but it is really nice how straightforward and friendly the Americans are. Maybe I am saying this because I received one too many glares
on the streets passing by a Swedish person. But it is great to receive that
smile and that friendly greeting while walking past a stranger on the streets
here. Also us Americans are a lot more energetic in nature. Plus I am a fan of how straightforward us Americans can be. It is really
nice that when you want the salt passed to you on the table all you have to do is be bold and say so and you'll receive it. I really love the bigger cities here in
America. Buildings can be really cool in Sweden, they really take a lot
of the older architecture and certain views in the cities will absolutely
take your breath away, however you'll receive a lot more Friday entertainment
here if you wanted to spend the night out in town.. Here in America you can simply
go to an arcade, clubs, ect, while in Sweden you might have
your one movie theater in town. Again for the Swedish people a lot of enjoying
yourself is to simply sitting back and enjoying the nature that surrounds you. So it
is definitely easier to have fun here in America in the lines of getting out
and doing something social and active in the city. So there are many
differences between Americans and Swedes, there are also a lot of similarities,
but when I think about it really the main difference between the two countries are the people. Americans are very social people
while the Swedes kind of keep to themselves and enjoy the sights around them,
they are more laid back and take life easy one can say. Both of the people are
really amazing and outstanding!
